Denia Castle was built in the 11th Century. The main attraction of the Castle is the three towers and Archaeological Museum which displays the story behind Denia's great history. There are spectacular  views to the Port, Montgo Mountain and Denia city.

Mount Montgó Natural Park was declared a Natural Park in 1987 where there are a number of marked out walking routes. In early spring the orchards are full of almonds and cherry blossom, making it especially beautiful when exploring the mountain. On the adventure there are many small historic villages and hidden valleys to be found, making it a fabulous day out.

             

Sea Reserve is in an area of outstanding natural beauty, fantastic for scuba diving which can only be carried out with a special license obtained in advance from the Denia Tourist Office.

The Ethnological Museum contains the history during the 19th century where dry raisins became a major economic industry in Denia. The museum also displays the storey behind the raisin manufacturing process, Port of Denia and the peak of its business relations between England, Northern Europe and America.

The Toy Museum displays how Denia evolved in the development of its toys. Founded in Denia in 1904, exclusively started manufacturing tin toys, 10 years later the production of wooden toys and during the 1920s decade the development of metal toys.

La Lonja Fish Market is located at the Port of Denia where you can find a fabulous fish market. The market is open every day for visitors to purchase or view the traditional Spanish style of fishmongers.

Denia Town Hall is situated in centre of Denia and built in the 16th century in a Gothic style. The building has been restored so well making it one of the most impressive buildings in Denia.

Portal de la Marina in Ondara also has large shopping complex Portal de la Marina which is a fifteen minute drive from Denia city. This complex consists of approximately 120 shops, cinema and bowling alley, there are a wonderful variety of boutiques.

El Vergel Safari Park is another great place to discover the delight of the Animal Kingdom and a great venture as a family.

                        

 

El Vergel safari park and zoo is approximately 10 minutes from Denia city. The first three sections you have to stay in your car and drive through different areas where you will see emus, deer, lions, tigers and more. Next you will drive to an area where you park your car and walk through the main zoo area which is large with a good variety of animals and different animal shows to view.

It a great place to take younger children as a family, there is plenty for the adults and children to have a very enjoyable day.

Terra Mitica Theme Park was opened in 2000 and a huge theme park on the outskirts of Denia. Its one of the most popular tourist attractions and receives a huge number of visitors during the summer.

       

Its a very well designed theme park which has something for all age groups and contains small replicas of adult rides for the children to enjoy. Terra Mitica Theme Park is approximately 45 minute drive from Denia but well worth the visit and guests will not be disappointed.

Aqualandia Water Park is the largest in Europe, therefore fan of water parks will feel as though their in heaven. With such a great choice of water rides and splashes appealing to all age groups, Aqualandia is great place to visit and visitors will not be disappointed. Aqualandia Water Park is approximately 45 minutes drive from Denia.
